The new patent system essentially comprises an original grant patent (OGP) system which creates a direct route for seeking standard patent protection in Hong Kong with a maximum term of 20 years, as an alternative to the existing “re-registration” route.

The robot demonstration at the 5G Christmas event ran until 23 December 2019 and was done through Roborn’s 5G human-controlled robot with special sensors and a 5G network. Roborn’s robot showed applications of 5G technology in areas such as automation and robotics in society and industry.

On December 14, the Award Ceremony of the 8th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan was held in Foshan. Roborn survived through fierce competition to become the first prize winner of Advanced Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence Contest in the Competition’s growing enterprise group.

Nigeria is becoming the first West African country to try 5G technology. The trial was conducted by the South Africa technology giant MTN in the 5GDemo event where Roborn’s robot was showcased demonstating the 5G technology.
