The delegation from the Planning Department, including Ms. Ginger Kiang, Deputy Director; Ms. Johanna Cheng, Assistant Director; and representatives from the Civil Engineering Development Department, including Ms. Joyce Lau, Deputy Project Manager (West) and Mr. Joe Yip, Deputy Project Director, visited Roborn’s Cyberport office last Thursday, January 25th. This visit aimed to explore and discuss various aspects of future innovation and digital applications in the Northern Metropolis. The delegation engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges with representatives from Cyberport and Roborn’s Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Mark Mak. The delegation emphasized their strong commitment to enhancing collaboration with Cyberport and local technology start-ups to position Hong Kong as a prominent international hub for innovation and technology.
During the visit, Mark gave the delegation a comprehensive overview of Roborn’s 5G motion sensing and control technology. He also led the representatives to better understand the company’s products in various fields such as education, healthcare, and disinfection. He highlighted how their mechanical technology effectively assists diverse industry needs.
This visit proved invaluable for officials from the Planning Department and the Civil Engineering Development Department, as it gave them a more concrete understanding of the current research and development landscape of innovative enterprises in Hong Kong. Through engaging with representatives from Cyberport and fostering communication, both parties are actively working towards strengthening their collaboration.
