In his speech, Director Xia Baolong also encouraged the local industrial and commercial sectors to actively align with national strategies, promoting Hong Kong’s better integration into the overall development of the country, and at the same time driving Hong Kong’s better development through contributions to the nation. Earlier, Roborn Technology announced the launch of its 5G Motion-Controlled Bionic Robot – ME and Coffee Robot Barista. According to Mark Mak, the 5G Motion-Controlled Bionic Robot – ME responds to the national initiative to create a new smart health and elderly care industry, which mainly utilizes new-generation information technologies such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data, and smart hardware, focusing on applications related to the daily living, safety, healthcare, rehabilitation, medical and health aspects of the elderly.

He introduced that the company has developed a smart elderly care rehabilitation robot, the “Remote Physical Therapy Feedback Robot System,” by combining one of the core technologies of the 5G Motion-Controlled Bionic Robot – the force feedback robotic arm – with 5G technology. This robot achieves safe and precise mechanical operations, representing a significant technological breakthrough. Through remote collaboration, it can complete rehabilitation treatments for patients or elderly individuals, reducing the daily repetitive workload of physiotherapists and lowering elderly care costs, in line with the national policy on smart elderly care.
Mark Mak added that the smart elderly care rehabilitation robot is currently undergoing active trials and applications in some nursing homes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Shanghai. In the future, the company hopes to develop more life and health technologies, with improving citizens’ quality of life as one of its core goals.
Coffee Robot Completes Latte Art in One and a Half Minutes
Regarding the technology of the Coffee Robot Barista, Mark Mak explained that it combines mechanical technology with 5G, AI, IoT, and cloud computing into a comprehensive solution. Besides focusing on core technologies such as robotic arms and 5G robots, it can automatically complete coffee brewing and latte art, with the entire process taking approximately one and a half minutes. Currently, NoBound Tech is planning to collaborate with large coffee chain brands in Hong Kong and the mainland, hoping to widely apply the Coffee Robot Barista technology to different customer segments.

New Bottle Recycling Machine Can Collect Up to 100 Bottles at Once
Earlier, NoBound Tech received support from the Government’s Low Carbon Green Technology Fund and successfully developed a large-scale bottle recycling machine, which was officially put into use in April this year. Unlike traditional recycling machines, Mark Mak said that the new bottle recycling machine can collect up to 100 bottles at once and quickly count the number of bottles collected. Currently, a pilot of the large-scale bottle recycling machine is being conducted at Cyberport, which is near large residential estates and offices, facilitating the collection of more data and user feedback. During the earlier testing phase, the response was enthusiastic. The large-scale bottle recycling machine is currently focused on data collection and phased application, with the hope of establishing more recycling points across Hong Kong in the future.
