Roborn uses motion control system as its core technology, together with 5G, AI, IoT, Cloud to drive and develop comprehensive robotic products and tech-development solutions. Roborn advocates Techanization, integrating modern technology into ecologies, realizing human-machine cooperation and virtual interaction to improve the ecologies’ productivity and efficiency and make human being better.

Techanization™

Integrate technology into an ecology and enable it to be more productive, efficient and sustainable for better human being as a prosperous cycle.

Roborn’s “Techanization”

The concept of “Techanization” is that we integrate technology into an “ecosystem” to make it grow better and prosper. The more important thing about Techanization is that the application of technology can bring benefits and make human being better, not just invent a technology and then apply it in one area.

Mingpao Interview: Locally Developed Epidemic Prevention Robot Automatically Blocks People with Fever

With the ongoing novel coronavirus, taking one’s temperature has become a necessary action in our daily lives. Roborn Technology, a technology enterprise in Cyberport, developed the nation’s first 5G epidemic prevention smart robot which can automatically detect temperature. The robot can move at a speed of 1m/s. At the top are thermal imaging lens, which can detect body temperature within five meters. As soon as it detects a person with fever, it will immediately issue an alert and prevent the person from moving elsewhere. The robot has already been introduced to local medical centres for trial use.

Wenweipo: 5G Epidemic Prevention Smart Robot to Facilitate Temperature Detection

Most fixed infrared temperature detection devices available in the market basically rely heavily on manpower to determine the temperature with their naked eyes. As a result, human errors may occur easily and targets may be missed. Witnessing the situation, Prof. Larry Poon Ka-Yeung and Prof. Mark Mak Hin-Yu led their team to develop a 5G epidemic prevention smart robot which can complete tasks such as measure temperature, provide instant alert, deliver epidemic information etc.
